The Home Office Quality Assurance and Testing (QAT) team - one of the largest of its kind in the UK public sector - engaged Sparta Global as part of a strategic transformation to align with modern technology standards. A key pillar of their three-year plan is shifting to an “automation by default” approach, requiring significant upskilling of their largely manual testing workforce. In response, Sparta Global designed and delivered a tailored learning pathway, including pre-training resources, a custom three-week hybrid training programme, and post-training support clinics. Following a successful pilot in January 2025, we are now upskilling a further 50 civil servants over 12 months in cohorts of 10–12. The goal: empower internal talent, foster career growth, and drive greater efficiency and cost savings through scalable test automation.
